Ways to Serve

Volunteering*

Urban Impact is powered by an incredible community of volunteers. Each week, we serve more than 100 students, and it truly takes a village to create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment for them to grow. Volunteers are essential to our K–12 programs and make a meaningful difference every day. Click the button below to find the opportunity that’s right for you!

1

Meal Sponsorship

You can make an impact one meal at a time! Whether it’s homemade lasagna, breakfast for dinner, or an order of cheese pizzas, our students love and appreciate every bite. While dropping off and serving the meal is not required, it is always greatly appreciated and helps create a more meaningful experience for our students.

2

Mentorship

You can make a lasting impact by simply showing up. Whether it’s offering encouragement, helping with homework, or building meaningful relationships, mentors play a vital role in helping our students grow in confidence, skills, and purpose.

3

Resource Donation

You can support our students and programs through generous giving. From school supplies and snacks to gift cards and other essentials, donated resources help meet real needs and create welcoming, supportive spaces for our youth.

* Volunteers are expected to honor their scheduled commitments and serve consistently for a minimum period of 12 weeks. While volunteers have flexibility in selecting their days and times of service, consistency is critical. Many of the youth we serve rely on familiar, dependable adults, and program quality is directly impacted when volunteers are absent without notice.

College interns and student volunteers are kindly expected to commit to at least 8 program sessions, depending on their role and placement. These expectations help ensure continuity, reduce disruption, and support meaningful relationship-building.
