Kid Power
Grades K - 3 | Monday - Friday | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Kid Power supports students during the school day at Geraldine Clayor Magnet Academy by strengthening their reading and comprehension skills right in their classroom environment. Volunteers partner alongside teachers to provide extra encouragement, helping students stay focused, engaged, and confident as they learn.
This program is about more than academics. It’s about showing up consistently, building trust, and creating space for students to feel supported. Whether reinforcing reading skills or working through math concepts, volunteers offer individualized attention that helps students grow both academically and personally.
Through steady mentorship and meaningful relationships, Kid Power helps students feel seen, capable, and motivated to succeed.
